Our podcast is called Board Shorts because boards and governance can often be a dry topic and if we can’t communicate board and director related concepts and information to you in 30 minutes or less, than we’re not doing it right.
Your regular host is Lisa Cook, founder and managing director of Get on Board Australia. Oftentimes she’ll have guests talking about their board experiences and specific expertise to help you survive and thrive in the boardroom. We hope to make this podcast and the information we share of value to new and aspiring company directors and board members. This series of episodes profiles a successful board member and goes deep with them to uncover how they made it into the boardroom and what they do to be a successful board member. Each boardroom insider of the month will answer questions about their pathway to the boardroom, what value they get personally from their board service, what has been their biggest challenge in their board career to date and how they overcame it, and what advice they would give to new and aspiring board members.
Diary of a Board Member
These heartfelt episodes will be short and focused on what is happening in Lisa’s board career, what she’s working on at the moment with her board(s) – where possible, what she’s currently reading that is relevant to improving board-related skills and knowledge; the trends she is seeing in relation to boards and directors; and any advice that she might be able to share from her personal experiences and the experiences of her clients.
